Dental & Food Pantry Impact

Good Neighbor House recently had a Spanish-speaking family with four children come in for food assistance. Although the pantry had already closed for the day, the team still managed to provide them with the necessary food supplies. However, the family faced a dilemma: they had no car and were unsure how to carry the bags of food home.

Jasmine, a dental patient waiting for her appointment in the lobby, overheard their predicament. Without hesitation, she offered to give the family a ride home. Despite the language barrier—Jasmine spoke English while the family spoke Spanish—she found a way to communicate by calling her mother, a Spanish teacher, to help communicate more effectively.

This compassionate act deeply moved everyone at Good Neighbor House. To show their appreciation for Jasmine’s kindness, the dental team decided to prioritize her next dental appointment, moving her to the top of the list.
